A Garden For The Rusty-Patched Bumblebee

A few months ago, we published an article about the decline of the rusty-patched bumblebee and how we can help to improve the situaion for bumblebees in general. I mentioned that a book by Lorraine Johnson and Sheila Colla was being written and was soon to be published. I am pleased to announce that the book is now published and it does not disappoint.

The new book by Johnson and Colla provides a guide for creating habitiat in your garden to bring back the rusty-patched bumblebee and to attract other native pollinators to your garden.

The second half of the book gives details includng pictures about what native plants to include in your garden and the co-dependencies that exist between the native plants and the native pollinators.   This book will become your complete guide for creating a beneficial habitat in your back yard.
